THE GET DOWN

If you haven’t been to Skirball Cultural Center to see the Noah’s Arc exhibit, then NOW is the time! Noah’s Ark is one of the most creative installations I’ve seen in all of LA.

Being in Noah’s Arc is like being in a magical indoor playland but better! Every turn is engaging (for both kids and adults) and gets more and more interesting with each visit.

The Noah’s Ark exhibit at Skiball Cultural Center was created using recycled materials. There are areas to play, climb and explore, along with engaging and interactive classes during your scheduled time. The exhibit is ALL enclosed which makes it great if visiting with more than one child.

If you are planing on visiting Skirball’s Noah’s Ark exhibit on the weekends, its best to book tickets ahead of time to guarantee a time of entry in this particular exhibit. If not, that’s ok too, as Skirball Cultural center has exciting activities to explore all around.

Skirball Cultural Center boasts some really amazing art exhibits as well as hosts plenty of free evening events; from music concerts, to movies and dance performances. It’s the perfect adult hang to gather your favorite peeps and their peepsqueaks! Check out their website for the full schedule.

Also, the top floor of Skirball Cultural Center has an archeological dig for kids, in case you get there early or want to stay at the museum after your two hour allotted time in the Noah’s Arc Exhibit.

The family art room is also one of the best! There is different themed art art projects going on each week for the family to enjoy!

Plan on spending the day at Skirball Cultural Center. Pack a lunch to eat on the beautiful grounds or let the kids roam free on the tall grass, the giant steps or alongside the running water…
A visit to Skirball Cultural Center is ALWAYS a good idea!

Rating System:

It’s our goal to make exploring LA either with the kids or with grown ups as easy as possible. Click through the tabs above to check out our rating system.

For those with little
runners & screamers:

Easily forgiven:

Here, you can forget the fact that it’s your rambunctious child that’s screaming and STILL enjoy most of your meal.

Not promoted, but you should take the chance:

If your toddler is at the stage when an iPad or some other colorful distraction can be used for an un-interrupted 20 minutes, then go for it.

Uh-uh, NO WAY, don’t even think about it!:

I don’t care how cute your toddler is. Pop your head in… turn around… walk away. PERIOD.

No contained area:

A place you cannot leave your toddler alone, not even for a second.

Enclosed, but space is tight:

If YOU can’t fit between the tables then you know you couldn’t catch your toddler if they tried – this isn’t Norm’s.
