Pecorino

THE GET DOWN

With so many Italian restaurants to choose from, I feel like making a decision on where to eat all comes down to the restaurants ‘standout’ dishes. If something you crave stands out (aside from the pasta of course), then it’s worth the journey. Such is the case at Pecorino.

I like to say that everything is better with Balsamic, and I think they like to say that too? Pecorino’s baked onion, filled with eggplant, pine nuts, raisins, pecorino cheese and a weeee bit of balsamic, ties all the ingredients together.

I also appreciate when a vegetable soup is chopped up in very small pieces so that you taste every veggie with each spoonful. This soup was a big hit with Capri. And the pastas? Alert! There’s a true Amatriciana on the menu here (made with Bucatini) as well as handmade fettucini bolognese. Muah!

The entrees at Pecorino are very memorable too, but who has room to try all this after working your way through the apps and pastas?

The dark, intimate and somewhat conservative vibe at Pecorino spells date night for sure. Buuuuut, should you have the kids in tote at dinner time, go early and sit by the door in case they get out of hand. Pack the ipad and headphones too. Otherwise, lunch at Pecorino would be a wise choice. Rally for a meal here!

Rating System:

It’s our goal to make exploring LA either with the kids or with grown ups as easy as possible. Click through the tabs above to check out our rating system.

For those with little
runners & screamers:

Easily forgiven:

Here, you can forget the fact that it’s your rambunctious child that’s screaming and STILL enjoy most of your meal.

Not promoted, but you should take the chance:

If your toddler is at the stage when an iPad or some other colorful distraction can be used for an un-interrupted 20 minutes, then go for it.

Uh-uh, NO WAY, don’t even think about it!:

I don’t care how cute your toddler is. Pop your head in… turn around… walk away. PERIOD.

No contained area:

A place you cannot leave your toddler alone, not even for a second.

Enclosed, but space is tight:

If YOU can’t fit between the tables then you know you couldn’t catch your toddler if they tried – this isn’t Norm’s.
